As a member of the Chicago Psychotherapy Partners, I offer a range of services that includes long and short-term psychotherapy and counseling. I work with individuals, children, couples and families to address many types of difficulties and struggles. In addition to my private practice, I am affiliated with a large community mental health center functioning as a program administrator and clinician. My experience also includes such varied services as inpatient psychiatric social work and community based outreach programs.
My approach to counseling and therapy is psychodynamic-oriented based on the belief that through an open -ended process and an honest, collaborative relationship- the therapist and client work together to identify and resolve conflicts that get in the way of personal fulfillment. Through being listened to and understood, psychotherapy can facilitate the opportunity to gain more insight and a greater understanding of oneself. Such personal growth and knowledge can allow clients to consider other adaptations and personal choices.
